Notable Achievements

  • Talent & Organization Transformation: Susanna has served as interim Chief Human Resources Officer of a major academic medical center. In addition to oversight of core functions to support over 13,000 team members, she led implementation of a transformational service delivery model; addressed escalating clinical vacancy rates to support labor optimization; and oversaw two major compliance initiatives that achieved record-level completion rates.
  • Organization Transformation: among numerous culture and business transformation engagements, served as lead consultant over eight years in an historic change initiative in health care, involving 100,000 physicians, unionized employees, and managers in the nation’s largest not-for-profit healthcare system.  Susanna was recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Labor for her contribution to that work, and was included in seminal research conducted by Thomas Kochan of MIT.
  • Strategy Development & Articulation: established the strategic platform for profitable growth through acquisition for a prominent regional banking organization, including a three-year program that yielded a 40% increase in assets, increasingly higher levels of employee engagement and value-added work, and deeper leadership capabilities and bench strength.  Strategy assessments and leadership development for family businesses are a specialized practice area for Susanna.
  • Organization Design: developed a high-performance plant design for a Fortune 50 high technology company that ultimately became its global manufacturing model; conducted whole system work design for the U.S. plants of a global consumer products company.
