Steve Strelsin, Partner

Steve has spent over 35 years consulting to companies in a wide range of industries. The scope of his consulting work has included developing and executing growth strategies and determining the critical few levers for driving value and great execution of work.


Before forming Axiom Consulting Partners, Steve owned and operated Penfield Associates, an organization effectiveness consulting firm. Prior to founding Penfield Associates, he spent 16 years with Sibson & Company, an international consulting firm focused on organization effectiveness, growth strategies and talent management. From 1990 to 1998, he served as CEO of Sibson.

Prior to joining Sibson, Steve worked at KPMG where he was responsible for all strategic planning, marketing and organization consulting services for the mid-Atlantic region. His prior experience also includes operations consulting and project management with Johnson & Johnson and Eastman Kodak.

Notable Achievements

  • Facilitated the assessment, development and articulation of corporate and/or business unit strategies.
  • Assisted companies in developing and effectively executing against sales and marketing strategies. This includes organization structure, sales force deployment and market coverage, selecting and optimizing sales channels, job design, account management, and sales training.
  • Conducted numerous studies to help companies unlock value through improved execution and talent management.
  • Assisted organizations in creating alignment across their leadership teams and in creating effective individual and team leadership development initiatives.
  • Conducted numerous studies relating to the development of compensation and reward philosophy, and the design of executive, sales force and broad-based compensation programs.
  • Assisted companies in defining and delivering on employee value propositions, resulting in improved performance and employee attraction, motivation and retention.
  • Conducted research along with the Harvard Business School on how companies can consistently outperform their peers and build and sustain high impact leadership teams.
  • Conducted individual executive and team coaching on various leadership and management skills

Publications & Affiliations

Steve served for three years as the CEO of NewMindsets, Inc., an online learning and performance support company based in Toronto, Canada. NewMindsets has successfully developed and commercialized a unique approach to configuring and delivering online learning content to both corporate and education markets. The Company has won numerous awards for content and innovative application.


Steve obtained his MBA degree from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and his BS degree, majoring in physics and mechanical engineering, from Drexel University.
