At Axiom, John leads client engagements where complex and interrelated issues related to business and people processes, organization design, operating model, and supporting tools and systems are impacting desired growth, creating execution challenges, or limiting a firm’s ability to deliver customer value.

Experience

Prior to joining Axiom, John was a Managing Partner at Special Circumstances Partners, a boutique management consulting firm serving clients on product/service strategy and digital transformation. John was also Director of Operations and Strategy and TD Ameritrade, Vice President of Strategy at Aon PLC, and an Associate Principal at McKinsey and Company.

John’s career highlights include:

  • Product Design – Redesigned product and installation process for national school safety services provider, reducing time to install products by 66% and eliminating supply bottlenecks and parts being out of supply.
  • Corporate Integration – Led integration of three locations into national physician services provider in 90 days with no service or financial disruptions and implemented end-to-end performance improvement program which increased revenue by 5-7% and reduced A/R days by 50%.
  • Continuous Improvement – Designed, implemented, and sustained Lean Service Operations program, increasing operational efficiency, allowing onshoring of all processing tasks, reducing annual turnaround times by 10-30%, and providing 12-20% in annual increased operational capacity.
  • Corporate Restructuring – Led multiple teams across entire enterprise to analyze and define optimal operating structure for business processes and functions (e.g., enterprise, regional, national, local); firm stock price increased by 400% after execution of restructuring program.
  • Decision-making and Organization – Designed strategy for sourcing and managing over $500M per year of real estate co-investment capital, including pricing, terms and conditions deal economics, and best practice investment committee/portfolio management processes to streamline responsibilities and facilitate decision-making.

John holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in Analytic Finance, Econometrics and Statistics, and International Business and a Bachelor of Science from Bates College in Mathematics.
