Garrett Sheridan, President and Managing Partner

Garrett is President and Managing Partner at Axiom Consulting Partners. He brings to the firm 25 years of management consulting experience helping clients grow and transform their businesses. He has served clients globally in the following sectors: technology, fintech, healthcare, industrials, and energy. Garrett’s work is strategic and data-driven at its foundation and incorporates data and behavioral science to enable the implementation of solutions in complex client environments.

At Axiom, Garrett leads engagements that involve strategy development, sales effectiveness, and complex organization transformation efforts, often including significant operating model or organization redesign to improve strategy execution and results.

Experience

Prior to co-founding Axiom Consulting Partners, Garrett was Vice President and North American practice leader for Hudson Human Capital Solutions, a public company. He co-founded MPact Consulting, which was later acquired by Hudson. Garrett was a senior consultant at Sibson & Company and Boyle & Associates in his early career.

Some of Garrett’s experience highlights include:

  • Business Transformation – led the integration of four legacy businesses within a $9B diversified technology company to establish a common strategy, product and solution portfolio, organization design, and leadership team operating model resulting in 5% EBITDA improvement.
  • Go-To-Market Strategy and Sales Effectiveness – led a go-to-market strategy and sales force redesign project for a division of a $10B consumer goods company, resulting in a 6% increase in revenue in nine months.
  • Growth Strategy and Sales Effectiveness – developed and implemented a complete go-to-market strategy for a large global ERP applications provider, including sales strategy, customer segmentation, territory design, and quota and compensation design resulting in $75M revenue growth.
  • Business Transformation – redesigned the operating model of a $6B division of a private company to reduce organization complexity, create more integrated solutions, and achieved $90M in annual expense reduction.
  • Business Transformation – led a transformation of the HR function for an Academic Medical Center resulting in $13.5M cost savings and improved organization service delivery and quality.

Garrett earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both from University College Dublin, Ireland. Garrett is co-author of Shockproof: How to Hardwire Your Business for Lasting Success (John Wiley & Sons 2011) and has been frequently published and quoted in Management Review, US News and World Report, Management Consultant International, Workforce Management, and Workspan.

Garrett is a Partner at Social Venture Partners Chicago, a partnership of philanthropically minded individuals striving to make a significant impact in the Chicago community. He is former President of the Ireland Network Chicago and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
