Axiom Consulting Partners is seeking high-performing professionals to join our team in the role of Consultant. Our work will expose you to a wide range of disciplines including, strategy assessment and implementation, strategic and operational planning, business process and organizational design, talent management and leadership development. As a core member of our team, Consultants work with colleagues and client personnel at all levels to design and implement business transformation and growth initiatives. The Consultant role is principally responsible for supporting solution development through data gathering, research, quantitative and qualitative analyses and development of high quality written materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops the approach and manages the execution of all data gathering including detailed client data requests, interview guides, survey design and deployment, and participates in client interviews
  • Performs data analyses (quantitative and qualitative) as part of Axiom Consulting Partners’ diagnostic approach
  • Develops and tests hypotheses to generate insight and provide actionable business intelligence
  • Drafts compelling, high-quality written materials that communicate important messages simply and effectively
  • Contributes to the development of client presentations that represent Axiom Consulting Partners’ point of view and builds support for our recommendations
  • Builds maintains and grows professional peer-to-peer relationships with clients
  • Contributes to the development of Axiom Consulting Partners’ intellectual property


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3+ years of management consulting/professional services experience advising senior level clients, with demonstrated relevant subject matter expertise in strategy, organization or talent, or equivalent experience in areas such as finance, investment banking, or data-driven marketing
  • Strong business acumen (e.g., knowledge of business operations, financial analysis, organization effectiveness)
  • High proficiency with analysis and modeling in Excel (facility with Access, or other databases, as well as advanced tools and statistical methods, is not required but is highly valued)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision as evidenced through: business writing; development of presentation materials; delivery of presentations and communicating in group and one-to-one settings
  • An MBA or alternate post-graduate education (i.e., business, psychology or engineering) is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a professional capacity, educational group, or civic organization
  • Collaborative and learning orientation
  • Willingness to travel
  • Residence in Chicago or willingness to relocate
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card required
